The Carnival 2013 has reached its end so in the Catalan cava and wine region Penedès we again return to a calmer rhythm. Having said that, the weekend February 15-17 still has a lot to offer for those of you who want an excuse to leave busy Barcelona and explore something different for a few hours.
What about sardana dancing combined with calçotada in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia (Alt Penedès) or an organized hike up to the peak of Montgrós, just off Sant Pere de Ribes (Garraf), from where you will have a great view over, on one side, the Mediterranean and, on the other, the low mountains in the Garraf and Olèrdola nature reserves?
